Welcome to Teenagers With Asperger’s!
Hello, and welcome to my website.
Let me introduce myself; my name is Josh, I am 15 and when I was 9 I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, a mild form of autism.
I have made this website so other teenagers with Asperger’s Syndrome, as well as those with other forms of autism, can talk to each other. I have also tried my hardest to make this website a good source of information on Asperger’s that anyone can read and hopefully find interesting and useful.
Because people with Asperger’s are not usually good at socialising, they find it hard to make friends, many find it hard to look people in the eye, understand body language and read emotion, plus they think differently and have different interests to other teenagers. (For more information, click the “What is Asperger’s?” link).
That is why this website is here, because for people with Asperger’s it is easier to socialise through text and typing than it is face to face, and as this site is just for people with Asperger’s, people here will understand you, so it will be easier to form friendships. If you are an Aspie* teenager who wants to talk to others then click the “Forum” link.
If you see a word that’s underlined it means that there is a article about it on our wiki, so click the linked word or phrase to see the related wiki article.
If you want to check out our wiki, just click “Wiki” at the top.
Please feel free to have a look around my website and I hope you enjoy it! :)
